Here are some things my students have asked about me over the years. I'll be as truthful as possible.
I grew up in Leeds, Alabama. I graduated from Leeds High (where Ms. South was my art teacher) in... well, a long
time ago. While in high school, I was secretary of the student government association, Drama Club officer, and on the
dance team. I received a full scholarship to the University of Montevallo - the best place on earth. I graduated
with a teaching certification in Language Arts. While at Montevallo, I was a member of Phi Mu. I met my husband
in July of 1991, and we were married in June, 1992. We have three children - Blake, 6; Brandon, 3; and Julia, 2.
Our favorite family activity is to go camping in our fifth wheel. We have camped in five states since purchasing the
camper. Our last trip was to Topsail Hill Resort in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. Fantastic spot. That is where
I will be on long weekends. We are also huge Auburn fans, so I'll be on the lovlivest village in the plains many weekends
during the fall.
